Streets of Rogue on Steam:

Streets of Rogue is a roguelite action game where you complete quests in a simulated city complete with factions, law and order, and NPCs who live their lives and mostly try to stay out of your way. It's hard to explain but easy to watch - check it out!

About this game:

Streets of Rogue is a rogue-lite about player choice, freedom, and anarchic fun. The game takes inspiration from fast-paced top-down rogue-lites like Binding of Isaac and Nuclear Throne, and adds free-form, experimentation-driven, emergent gameplay elements of RPGs like Deus Ex.

NL is bad at this game because it attacks his greatest weakness: his abiding lack of curiosity.

Brother, targets that you must neutralise are not hostile unless you're trespassing.

Oooof the ending. I felt some genuine pain there. It's ok NL. We love you. Win or lose. Especially now that you know the difference between the lasers and to punch the computers (watch his last NLSS, He finally knows =D)

he did it, he knows the lasers.

I feel like nl's biggest problem now is that he doesn't understand aggro and keeps accidentally getting the whole town against him or just gets blindsided by someone with a gun who pops him for 50

imo, the problem here was that you were hacking haphazardly, and not really looking for a secluded place to not get caught. Also, you hacked cameras instead of turrets or gas.

IMO, target prioritization and positioning and you're gold with hacker

"The only way to learn right now is by dying". Or one of the multiple tips threads that people posted for you on Reddit.

But here's a tip for the hacker: stay inside another building while hacking to do it safely, cause the only people who get annoyed/hostile when they catch you are the owners of the place you're hacking (not the place you're in) or the police and they won't spot you inside another place.

Slot Machine:
base: 48% change to win
Hacking: +15% = 63% chance to win
4-leaf clover: +10% = 73% change to win if also hacked

I love how, even when he has deactivated the traps, he still regularly goes out of his way to stand on the pressure plates and stops on them for half a second.

hi, you can hack the robots or kill them easily with water

you can hack ATMs to spit out money

Hacker has one of thr worst melee stats in the game and NL goes about the whole first floor punching dudes.

Gotta start talking to people, my man. Hack an ATM for money, and use it to hire thugs. Or better yet, hack a clone machine.

Plays as a character that hack almost any environmental object, chooses to punch everyone. Classic NL.
EDIT: At least he knows the lasers now. Now we need to teach him about grilled fud, stealth, and diplomacy.
