Triggering the MS-101 sequencer from the RD-8 to get groovy rhythms doesn't appear to work out of the box. But all it needs is a bit of an envelope applied to the trigger signal. I explain everything in this video or you can jump straight to the summary:

I should add that if you don't have access to an envelope like this then you're screwed. Maybe you can trigger something else that would feed the MS-101 - dunno! I'm looking into other ways and I'm open to suggestions.
